Something that I noticed after looking at an orphan team in one of my leagues is that he has some bad players at high contracts alot of them 1 year deals. I think something to be looked into is some how getting a foster owner before roll over or at least to help clean up the rosteror let those leagues do new year roll over after owner is assigned. Thenthey could have those cap hits on last years caps instead of being stuck with them now. Maybe even have the league comish or someone do it.

I know alot of it is a judgement call but there arenon starters with 1 year 2+ mill salaries that should not be on the team and a normal owner would have cut and taken the hit last year instead of starting out with 10-15 mill inbad contracts to start.

Under our new policy for reducing the amount of teams you own, this issue will be addressed. The current owner must pay for and act as the foster owner for this team. If this owner wants to sell fast, it's in there best interest to make the team as attractive as possible. Now, we will still have issues where an owenr drops 4 or 5 teams, walking away from EFS. Those can't be helped.

What I'm doing now is going through each league and checking each CID for ALL orphans posted. If we have any ownerswho renewed one or two and dropped several, I will find them (already found two!). This is a clear violation of EFS polices and they basically have until I get home tonight in order to fix things. This means they must pay for all EFS leagues they let go to the orphan list and act as a foster owner for them until a new owner is found. If this is not done, I will be removing them from any paid leagues.

Is there any way to let the new owner get a 1 or 2 day grace period to make cuts so they count as if they were done before the roll over. Not asking that they be completely waived but seeing orphans with guys who are not starters anymore sitting on the bench making 2+ mill. A competant owner would have probably cut them before the roll over so they didn't count against the cap this year at all. Just trying to find ways to make orphans look more attractive since they all need to be bought now.

I can't disagree with anything you said. The question is, can it be done? I'm not sure, but I can look into it.

doesn't this encourage owners to drop ALL leagues then? i mean if i'm going to pay for 2 teams and let 2 teams go orphan wouldn't i be better served to just let them all go? therbyexacerbating the problem? this is my 3rd season and every year it's the same thing. perhaps some one should look into why there is this recurring problem.

We are always going to have orphans, all we can do is try to minimize the amount. The system is being set-up to limit the amount of teams a person can own based on years with EFS. If you have two teams and want to cut back to just one, you can do that but must place the team up for sale and continue to run the team as a foster owner until sold. If you elect to let one team slip to the orphan list an pay for the other, you will loose both.

If you have two teams and you decide to drop both, we cannot do anything to stop you. All we can do is prevent these people from purchasing another team. Mostleagues have 4 or less openings, which is really not that bad. Only one league is sitting in a bad spot w/ 7 openings.

We will do our best to protect our current leagues and customers that continue to support EFS.

However, if you don't pay for a team, then you can't log into that team, so you can't really run it as a foster owner until sold. Just sayin'...
