hey Beermen,

the only stake I have in the game is that I'm sitting in 6th place in the Jungle playoff contest. I'm .5 points behind Krieger and am 14 points out of 1st. It's almost impossible to make up 14 points because we all have the same limited set of players to choose from, but I guess there's always a chance. As long as I pass up Krieger I'll be happy.

Edit to add: my team name in the Jungle is Bacardi Braintrust

I'll have to check in...we weren't able to get in...too much other stuff going on...I'm going crazy watching football without a team or players to to root for. I was kind of rooting for the Pats, as the Steelers missed the tourney, and my favorite team, the 49ers blow. Good luck, It'd be great for someone out of our league to take some coin.

BTW...the 49ers won't blow for long, just need Eddie and Carmen back!!

As I mentioned in an email I bet $500 on the Colts to beat the spread. My best friend is a Chi-town native so I would be happy for him if the Bears won. The Pats not beating the Colts probably saved our friendship because I don't think he would have ever spoken to me again after the Pats beat his Bears silly. We had not yet crossed paths in 1986.

Mike good luck in the FJ contest I hope you manage to pull it out. I have 5 teams in the top 50 and 3 teams in the top 30... all Sol Diablos. Unfortunately as Mike said with all the similar players selected in the final round it does not look like I can place in the money. I will have to make some crazy player selections and hope they have a career day.... go Moorehead!
