Here are the week 8 matchup highlights...

Free "Sic Um" wins of the week?
Elysian fields and Omen should have field days with Sic Um this week. If either lose to Sic Um, it could be their undoing for the division crown. But Sic Um should be no problem, and Omen should take the divisional lead also playing Beast while Elysian plays...

marauders 666 @ elysian fields 22
Marauders relies on Bledsoe once again but is otherwise relatively intact, taking his league-leading-PPG into elysian grounds. Elysian started off as the #1PPG team, but has since cooled a bit. He'll be without his top 2 defensive lineman and a couple linebackers, looking for a few good WR to lead the way.

The toughest two divisions are represented here, as w.s.d.m. looks to return to winning ways after a tough divisional loss. (Now 0-3 in his div.) He'll be without his top 2 OBs and depleted at OT. i'll be without Freeney, possibly Ray Lewis and a top RB.

liberty vultures @ zfactor
The #1 seed takes on the #2 PPG team this week in a heavyweight matchup with serious playoff implications. Liberty will have to rely on Ronnie Brown this week but has no major BYE week implications he can't cover well for. Z will need to rely on strong DE depth. If Z can dominate for 2 wins, i think he has the inside track at #1 seed (for the 2nd straight year).

Here are the results from a week 8 when most teams put forth lackluster scores. (2 more bye weeks left.)

Free "Sic Um" wins of the week?
Sic Um dropped 2 games this week, barely creeping over 300 pts (at 312). Elysian needed this big break while the game with the Omen wasn't close.

marauders 666 @ elysian fields 22
Both teams slumped but Marauders pulled this one out with a couple thank you cards to his WRs. A good chunk of Elysian's offense told a different story, only amassing 33pts WR-FB. Ivan Taylor did his best.

w.s.d.m. @ mephisto 666 - robot of satan
w.s.d.m. won 2 games on the strength of topping 500 points, bolstered by Rashaen Mathis, Mike Peterson, Drew Brees and Steve Smith. i lost both of my games, too weakened by the absence of Dwight Freeney, Ray Lewis and Shaun Alexander, strong at OL, but weak in most other places.

liberty vultures @ zfactor
One of only 5 teams to top 400 pts in this slump week, ZFactor disposed of Liberty and Rebels fairly handily. Zfactor now sports a 2 game lead in his division, while Liberty is part of a DIV2 standings mess, TBD.
