I'd like to give props to Rabid Pats & St. Louis 58 for ending in a tie in week 7. Well done ladies, keep up the good work. (EFS tie-breaker system stinks... the home-field advantage 5-point bonus should ONLY be awarded when the teams end in a tie; not to be added to the home teams score to force a tie!!... nrrrrr)

Brandon,
Though you've changed your team name from Myrmidon to Irish Dogs, in an attempt to hide in disgust this year, we all still realize you are only 3-8 and that your team... ISNOTGOOD!

The team appeared to be a orphan.
No line-up has been submitted 10-9, 10-23 or 10-30.
So not sure he's still the owner or just changing the name.

He (Brandon) shows to have last logged in on 11/3, so hopefully he is still alive and kickin'... I guess we can only wait and see.

Would someone please step up and take control of the 'green' division?! First place is sitting at 5-8-1... That's waaaay sad! Heck, even the Bears in the NFC North are now at least 6-3.
GO COLTS IN WEEK 11!

Congrats on the win over me this week C4........I'll just have to kick your ass come playoff time. I'm more upset over your "Go Colts" comment. What's up with that bro? Show some love for my Bengals. Maybe your just scared that the Bengals might have a good enough team to win the SB this year! I might as well just win the League 58 championship this year too then. Football is so much more fun when the Bengals are playing well and my fantasy team's on top. See ya in the championship game boyz!
WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE!!

My bad. Wow, I guess that just shows how much all you other teams suck. I don't even know what the hell isgoing on and I still have the HIGHEST ranked team in our whole league!:dude: C4,you can take my ex-wife out for drinks. God knows you'd never lay a finger on a female. Your dog (Chels) may get a little jealous though!
Don't be taking out your frustration (since the Jets suck!)on my Bengals. Give 'em the props that they deserve bastard.

Hey man, 35th overall ranking not too shabby for ya! Did you look at the #1 Swamp Dwellers 1002?? Now honestly, look at that guys team... Who were the poor saps that traded all that talent to him? Offense especially. He's loaded at damn near all positions! My C4 did crack the top 100 (#100 actually) but by years end I'll be ahead of Stripes... Since the rankings are points-scored specific, I'll have to go a little crazy on the scoreboard; crazier things have happened.

MERRY XMAS ONE AND ALL... I'm off to the Packer game today to watch Brett one last time... Watch Rodgers fill in and throw a couple of INTs... and watch our new bartender-turned-punter from Orlando shank his 8-yard punts. Here's to not passing out by halftime!!

So is this gonna be another 1yr and it's over league? We still need 7 teams to get things rolling. I see only 2 of those 7 teams have even logged on this year. What's EFS gonna be doing about this. I joined Lg 9 this year just because I wanted to participate in UFA & RFA sometime soon. If knowone's going to purchase those 7 teams, I'd rather just have EFS apply my payment to next year (2007) for league 9. What's the plan people?
Jay ($ophomore $tripes)
Hopefully they start banning these guys from any other leagues so they don't keep ruining leagues.
All the ones that did not renew except Nu-look are .500 or worse. Guess they just can't hang in a dynasty format. They need to stick to redraft if every time thier team sucks they are going to just drop the team.
I agree with Legend BUT...this is sooooo frustrating!!! We paid our fee to be in EFS and now we have to wait. AND we are taking a chance that we won't be consolidated AGAIN. That is not what I or anyone paid for. We are paying for a DYNASTY league, not a redraft league. What bothers me the most about this is that EFS SEEMS to not care about that fact. Otherwise they would make some sort of consideration for the owner being consolidated. I do NOT want to go through another consolidation. There is just nothing any of us can do. What's not fair is that we as owners who paid have lived up to our end of the deal but EFS has not lived up to theirs. Sure we can wait but realistically speaking we will NEVER sell off all those orphaned teams, especially at regular prices. I love this site and the format but am really frustrated at the events. Sure this happens every year and sure its not a huge problem to wait...but...it's not what EFS promotes and its not fair to us. How long do we wait? A month? 2 months? 6 months? And what happens if we do get consolidated AGAIN? What happened to th "dynasty" aspect of the site? I could go along with the consolidation if EFS came back to us and said...those who consolidated get a discount or get a freebie or something. It's just not fair.
Anyhow...just venting...nothing better to do.
In another note, LG19 is going to do an expansion this year. We have all 4 new expansion owners but need one (1) owner to buy an orphan team. It is NOT that bad a team at all. Anyone who wants to start their EFS season NOW ought to take a shot with this team!!! It will be a blast!!!

I hear you guys. I too am sick of this shit. I am not going to consolidate again this year. EFS can give me my damn money back before I do that. I know it's not totally their fault, but some things have gotta change. They've gotta do something to get these leagues filled up. Although it's not fair to us owners that have already paid if they go ahead and give away these teams cheap. I'm sure you all feel the same way. Hopefully EFS will give us an update on their game plan.

As frustrating as it is, I think it's just part of the year-round dynasty league experience. I've asked people who play in regular seasonal leagues if they'd be interested in joining something like this and most people don't seem to want to play year-round. You could drop the price and maybe talk some peopleinto it, but unless they're commited to it they won't be good team owners anyway.
The problem is that the quality of the product EFS delivers is dependent upon the quality of their customers. We could pester EFS management to get our league filled up, but unless we get some commited team owners in here we'll just be going through this again next year.
Are there any leagues out there where the league is ready to fold and the remaining (commited) owners would prefer to take on our orphans instead of redrafting? Hopefully, knowing we've already consolidated and redrafted, EFS managment will have mercy on us and make an effort to avoid a third redo.
I think we have 9 commited people right now. As a last resort, is retracting to a 12 team league an option? The rosters of the remaining 4 teams could go into UFA or something. That way we'd have only 3 teams to fill instead of 7.
Any other ideas?

Iagree with you Battlestar. We do need committed owners to take those last 7 teams or we'll be right back in this situation again next year. Reducing our league down to 12 teams might not be a bad idea if we could find 3 committed owners to join. Iprefer a 16 team league, but if going down to 12 means getting this league going, I'm all for it. What does everyone else think? I think we need to come up with some options and present them to EFS.
Jay ($ophomore $tripes)
Guys, I'm NOT for dropping to a 12 team league. I really have no desire to do so. What happens to the "star" players who are on the 4 teams that get cut? Go to FA? Well that would create a FA bidding nightmare. Maybe I'm wrong but it's my opinion. BUT I do not want to be consolidated again. So...my stance is if we are dropping to 12 teams then I will have to respectfully decline and get a refund. If we are consolidating again my stance is the same, I'll have do decline. We CAN NOT continue to do this year after year. It is NOT what we paid for. While I agree that this is part of the yearly growing pains of a dynasty league EFS still has problems. Listen to the owners who didn't renew and hear why they aren't returning. Most say it is NOT because of price. Anyhow...just my opinion.
My opinion could change by the time any decision is made but...

Well it was just a thought. I think retracting could be done somehow without creating an FA nightmare by using a waiver wire or supplemental draft process of some kind, but I'm not married to the idea. Just brainstorming. I'd much rather see the remaining 7 teams fill up and continue as a 16 team league too, but if it doesn't start filling up soon we may have to consider other options. I did say "As a last resort."

If push came to shove, I'd vote 'yes' to change this league to a 12-man league.Aconcern would be the "enhanced scoring" format we are currently under. As all of our teams wouldbecome deeper at each position, that leaves a lot of talent wasted on the bench with the"position specific"requirements of enhanced. This primarilyaffects the RB position the most, but I think all positions would be affected. I'm notin any 12-man enhanced, so I can't prove this true. IF, and this is a big if, we go a few years @ 12 teams, we can always attempt an expansion... should EFS prosper in the future ;-)
But is quality depth a problem? We all know the NFL is seeing its share of injuries seemingly increasing every damn year... and as we are really just here to have fun, a loss of a #1 RB or QB or WR or LB shouldn't decimate (sp?)a season for us like it tends to in the NFL.
I haven't thought much really of the true ramifications of a switch to 12-man x enhanced, so feel free to post with your own thoughts.
As far as what we could do w/ the roster of the 4 remaining teams, I feelopening them upto UFA wouldn't be a problem. We all still would have cap issues to deal with, so contracts would not get too high I'm sure. Ifthey do get high, big whoop, that's the owner's responsibilty.
The #1 quality of this site is the potential for year-round involvement in fantasy football. If that means squeezing down to a 12-man league, I guess I'm down with that. But I do know that we are all a group of owners from 3 crap leagues last year, and I am NOT in favor of redrafting with a new league. I like my boys andmy league champ status ;-)
Soooo, patiently here I will wait...
