Trade offer: Will Witherspoon (18+ avg.,3yrs @ 1.996m) for a 2008 4th and a WR with a salary of2.5m + and 3 years remaining who , btw, is currently fourth on his teams depth chart and will not be moving up any time soon.

If you own Witherspoon do you make this trade or does the offer border on ridiculous?

Its a ridiculous offer, but we get them all the time. I wouldn't get too bent out of shape over it.

Yes, presented like that it does seem ridicluous. But don;t forget Jeff did just trade a Colt OL, Zach Thomas, and Rasheen Mathis (20 ppg) for a 2,3,4,4 and a bunch of salary dumps.

Plus he traded Bledsoe (when he was a starter), Simeon Rice, and Strahan (when he was healthy) for basically just a #1 pick

So I do not want to hear that a #4 and Mike Williams for Witherspoon is a ridiculous offer. Especially when the offer is made to Jeff. Hey I thought he was accumulating picks and potential for next year.

I don't think the original post was necessary, nor the response. People all evaluate players differently and we've all made some rediculous offers and probably accepted some. There is definitely no need for anyone to be offended on either side. There shouldn't be any hard feelings ever about fantasy football anyway. Besides, I'm getting ready to make someone a ridiculous offer. I hope he takes it!!!

These are the type of guys you trade for possibly less than value in a rebuilding process. Pass their prime with monster salaries.

Will Witherspoon does not fit in with this group @ 26 years old and a 1.996 salary.

Any successful fantasy player could recognize this.
