The trade between Swamp Dwellers and Muckers is interesting. Vick/Bulger, I think Bulger is the better QB, not to mention Vick’s salary is almost double Bulgers’s. Bullock/Thompson, Bullock is a 2005 #2 picks with a good upside, Thompson is an average S at best. Nutten/Kaczur, Nutten is a 34 year old sometimes starter for the Rams and Kaczur is a sometime starter, probably the rest of the year, for the Eagles. Arrington/#2 2006 pick, fairly decent match except for Arrington’s 4 year 3.377 salary. Contract years are even at 10, salaries are Swamp Dwellers passing to Muckers 8.260 and Muckers passing to Swamp Dwellers 4.790.
Swamp Dwellers gets a better QB (debatable), a better S, an Eagle OL that starts, a #2 pick and salary relief. Muckers get help at LB, assuming Arrington stays out of the coach’s doghouse.
I would be interested in other owners comments on this trade.

p.s. I am in no way suggesting a no vote, in fact I already voted yes.
I can help provide a little insight. :P Your overall analysis is not too bad. My primary reason for trading was to purge some salary. Personally I prefer Vick to Bulger since he's 3 yrs younger and has scary potential. Admittedly he's only come close to reaching that potential once out of the last 3 years. I already have Manning so realistically i'm better off cutting salary on a backup. I love Arrington. He averaged right at 30 pts before his injury and I still hold him up on a pedestal. We kind of compromised on that one. I wanted a 1st based on his talent, but his stats warranted more of a 3rd. The other two were his option to take a little bite out of the salary he was absorbing. I think both of those guys he picked up off of other teams PS and the scores were fairly similar.
I didnt get any real starters out of it but got enough cap relief that i should be able to at least sign my picks next year. He got a much needed OLB that could be just enough to get into the playoffs and has been a top 3 OLB before. Hopefully it works out for both of us.
As a side note, just in case you were worried about it, this was my 4th choice of trade. Alex was #1 on my list ;) Should have pulled the trigger Alex hehe.
If you get the opportunity you should play in a league with Roy (his teams are the "Legend" named teams. I'm not even in his leaguewhen it comes to trades. He is our zen master lol
I almost forgot. You'll love this one. I got offered a 1st rnd pick in 2008 in a different league for OG A. Klemm. I did not turn it down. :dude:

I think my insight is good.;) The point of my comments is the trade is skewed.:? I am generally more candid with my comments but I am new to the league and am trying to be diplomatic.:P The argument about Vick's potential is old. Will he go off sometimes and score a lot of point - absolutely. Will he be a consistent QB like Bulger - no. Will he spend a lot of games in street clothes - probably.
I am in several leagues (666, 747, 777 etc) with Roy and the trades in those leagues tend to be balanced because of the experience of the owners and the prize money involved. Of course we all attempt to one-up the other owner, but generally the trades are win/win.
Thats the great part about trades. Normally two people are very happy (the ones doing the trade) and the rest fall anywhere from liking it to hating it. Everyone's a GM and has their own method of evaluating players and teams. Will Vick be a consistant stud? We all have opinions and I guess we'll know for sure several years down the road. For now I guess we fall into one of three categories: We are positive he will, we're positive he won't, and don't care. Any three are cool. I remember people being high on Tim Couch, Williams Green, etc. I guessed right on Couch but majorly wrong on Green. On the flip side I was very high on Boldin , Bulluck and Washington coming out of college and they ended up producing. So diplomatically I can respect that your opinion differs from mine. But only time will tell. Or actually maybe it's more that your opinion difers with any person thats made a trade with me lol.:D
I do applaud you for taking over a bad team. I've done that taking over an expansion team that drafted poorly. I don't know if it'll hold up or bite me in the butt, but I went after several players that have huge salaries but good upside. Currently in first place in my division, but am probably a few years away from being able to compete for a ring. So good on ya for taking up the challenge. I look forward to seeing how you approach the offseason. If you ever want to chat give me a yell on AOL messenger. My AIM name is Boglok.
