Power Poll Week after Week 10[/b]

I have taken each of our scores each week minus any HFA and pretended that every team has played every team every week, for a total of 11 games each week. I have done this for all Ten Weeks to see what our records would be at this point in the season to create this power poll. There have been 110 games so far using this formula and here are the results:

#1 – Chinchillas 99-11-0
#2 – Lestat de Lioncourt XXXi 86-24-0
#3 – Wrecking Crew II 66-44-0
#4 – Dallas Wolverines 59-49-2
#5 – Rented Mules 55-54-1
#6 – cubswin23 55-55-0
#7 – The Ty Michaels 52-58-0
#8 – Raven Maniacs xxxi 44-64-2
#9 – Big Daddys Bulldogs 41-67-2
#10 – Texas Tittie Twisters 34-76-0
#10 – Strange Crew 34-76-0
#12 – Dayton Triangles 31-78-1

The Current Playoff Picture as it stands right now in our league is this:

Seed 1 – Chinchillas (Power Rank #1)
Seed 2 – Lestat de Lioncourt XXXi (Power Rank #2)
Seed 3 – cubswin (Power Rank #6)
Seed 4 – Dallas Wolverines (Power Rank #4)
Seed 5 – Texas Tittie Twisters (Power Rank #10-tie)
Seed 6 – Dayton Triangles (Power Rank #12)

Interesting to note that Texas and Dayton are in the playoffs but not fairing too well if they played every team every week. We will call that the SOS. Wrecking Crew II has had the toughest time, they are currently on the outside looking in for the playoff run, and would have the 3rd best record in Head-to-Head versus the entire league.

The three teams that are currently tied for the worst record in the league have a power ranking of 5, 7, and 8.

And that is why we play the games!

Your comments are welcomed!

Guess I'm proof it's better to be lucky than good......

Lose big and win by ahair seems to work.

Great info....

Interesting analysis......Chincillas is definitely the favorite going into the playoffs. With McNabb down and out, my aging RBs hurt and inconsistent leads me to give the nod to the Chincillas.

But who knows? Maybe the Dayton Triangles will win it all, stranger things can and have happened.

Good luck to all this weekend.

Tough luck team of the year : Wrecking Crew II
Fourth highest scoring team of the year and had the 3rd best record, just played the wrong people week in and week out. Finished 8th in the league via Tie Breakers with two other teams 2 games out of the playoffs

Lucky Dog team of the year : Dayton Triangles
Enough said, the 6th seed in this years playoffs, 2nd lowest scoring team of the year and the worst overall record. He made the most of his chances and will be facing cubswin23 in the opening round of the playoffs. Will his ride continue?

Most Consistent team of the year : Rented Mules
I threw out each teams highest and lowest scores and then seen what their scoring difference was from the remaining scores. With their Highest and Lowest scores removed they only had a 63 point variance in their scoring for the entire season.

Most Inconsistent team of the year : Dallas Wolverines
Same criteria as used on the consistent team, and Dallas had a variance of 150 points. This kind of volitility could be dangerous come playoff time. Early exit or late run? Time will tell.

High Points breakdown for the year by week (total) :

Chinchillas - 6
Lestat de Lioncourt XXXi - 4
Dallas Wolverines - 1
Wrecking Crew II - 1
cubswin23 - 1

Low Points breakdown for the year by week (total) :

Dayton Triangles -3
Dallas Wolverines - 2
Raven Maniacs xxxi - 2
Big Daddys Bulldogs - 2
Texas Tittie Twisters - 1
Rented Mules - 1
Strange Crew - 1
Lestat de Lioncourt XXXi - 1

Playoff Predictions : (My "Guess" on the outcome from here on out)

Round 1:
cubswin23 over Dayton Triangles
Texas Tittie Twisters over Dallas Wolverines

Round 2:
Chinchillas over Texas Tittie Twisters
Lestat de Lioncourt XXXi over cubswin23

Super Bowl:
Lestat de Lioncourt XXXi over Chinchillas

I look for Lestat to get his revenge from last years SB upset and take the crown this year. He beat the Chinchillas in their only meeting this year and is still mad over Andy Reid and the Eagles and their handling of McNabb last year. However, the Chinchillas are as ready as we will ever be to defend the title.

Good Luck to all in the playoffs and hope to see you all back again next year.

Hey I actually had a winning record in something!!! Surprising I thought my team would perform a little better than they did.

My team was ridiculously unpredictable this year. Losing Javon Walker and T.O. did not help matters, but I was also very weak at DL.

Looking forward to improving during the offseason ...

I am looking forward to a good offseason myself. Hopefully The Ty Michaels can make some trades and acquire some new players from rfa.

Good luck to Lestat and Chinchillas in the bowl. I say we all work together next year to take down the champs or chumps however you look at it. :D

Indeed, the Chumps could stand to come down a few notches. After all finishing 7th in the league is pretty high for ya! Do you want to trade up in next years draft to help improve your team, I know I for one would listen to offers for the 4th and/or 5th pick in next years draft.

Best of Luck in the SB Lestat, It should be a very good game and I hope you dont get your revenge for last years SB.

Congrats on the Championship Bryon. You deserve it, You have an awesometeam and I look forward to coming back next year and trying to get the title back. I think the look of the league will be much different next year, there are a few teams that have a lot of young guys that may be in for an improvement and look for them to make the playoffs and make some noise next year.

Hope to see everyone renew soon and we can get started early next year with UFA and trading.

chinchillas emailed me, said you all had some orphans.

one of my other remaining leagues (15)is about to go under (i had one do that last offseason as well - so they placed me in lg 23 with lestat) because only 4 of us re-upped this year.

so, they may disolve that league and give us orphaned teams, or combine the 4 of us with lg 28, which might be expanding to 16 tms (another lg with lestat).

i may end up back here again, who knows.

Thanks Shawn, much appreciated. This is my 10th SB championship in the last two years, but this one is the sweetest. You are one of the toughest competitors that I have gone up against and this is one of my favorite leagues.

Greg, we would love to have you back. We have many of the same owners and some improvements over the ones that have left. You are very active and would be a welcome addition to league 31.

just depends on what happens to lg 15. we might merge with your expanding lg 28 or be offered a chance to take over an orphan. i'd like to know soon though. i want the worst team i can find.
