NFL Suspended players-on EFS IR in offseason?

last season the NFL suspended these players for one year, from the date of their suspension:

LB Odell Thurman Cin Aug 06
WR Koren Robinson GB Game4 06 season(end Sept 06)

I contend that they are still under suspension in NFL offseason until 12 months from their suspension dates, therefore those of us who have those players on our rosters should be able to carry them on IR during the NFL and EFS offseasons.

can EFS provide a ruling on players under 12 month suspension and how they will be treated in EFS off season?

I believe that EFS has already made a ruling on this matter. See page 50 of the rule book:

"All players will be removed from EFS Injured Reserve at the beginning of the new EFS season. No active player is allowed to be on EFS I.R. during the off-season."

correct....the relative word there is 'active' at least in terms of NFL player on their team-those guys who are suspended are not allowed to participate in any team activities....

in terms of EFS, in which players are either Active or PS, the term 'active' is somewhat different....

You read my mind. I was ready to say that Active players are those on your roster who are not on the PS.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with what you're asking for, although I haven't really given any of the variables much thought, but I guess I was trying to say that EFS already has a position on this, so you would need them to make a rule change (as opposed to a ruling), and that's quite unlikely to happen in the midst of this current affected time period.

Perhaps you could request that they consider this for future off-seasons.

The only thing I would say to this is the NFL does not have a IR in the offseason. If the ultimate goal of EFS is to emulate the NFL, then we should not have IR during the offseason for anyone.
