Expansion

As a new owner to the league I would like to know is expanding to 16 teams and changing to ES has been discussed before? I have participated in a couple expansions and they were great fun.

At this point I am not trying to sell the idea, if the topic has already been explored and rejected I certainly accept the decision.

I'm open to the idea as well, I believe Andy and myself are 2 of the 4 remaining original owners left in this league,I think it would be a good shot in the arm for the league.

On another note, welcome to the league Walt, if I'm not mistaken you make the 4th League 777/League 5 owner.

I think the commissioner should ask for a vote before we hibernate. If everyone agrees we can notify EFS of the decision and they will help us find 4 additional owners and the expansion draft can begin in January.

If anyone does not understand Enhanced Scoring I suggest they look at the rules before voting.

I would vote 'No' for a few reasons.

The simplest is that we have had a lot of trouble filling this league in the 3 years I have been in it. 12 Team Reg for example is on its 8th owner at least in 3 seasons. Adding 4 new teams will not add much stability to my knowledge.

2nd, I am not a big fan of the enhanced scoring features.

3rd, we already have 3 or 4 expansion quality teams in this league and until they are filled with consistant, competitive owners adding 4 more pushovers is going to make this league about as competitve as a beauty contest featuring Ana Jolie, Jess Alba, and Scarlett Johansson vs. the Omega Moos. :shock:

4th, if anything, i would recommend a restructing of the divisions. i do not know if this is possible, but each year 4 of the top 5 or 6 scorers come out of our division and I do not know if they would want to, but shifting Mississippi or Sharky over to the middle and sending back one of the lesser teams may give the Motor City Fan a little more competition. Heck, the winner of that division last year was a tie at 7-10. Plus it would at least balance out the wild card.
