In the next couple weeks, i'm going to roll out the new player page, this time for RFA bidding. It'll look just like the player page for UFA (which is not a coincidence since it's the same underlying page) except it'll tell you what pick you will give up upon your next bid, just like the Find Player page does.
I'm over half-way done testing this thing so i thought i'd give people early notice. Those leagues that start RFA late will have the opportunity to test it the most.

Im in league 62, team 11. I have my original 5th and 6th rd rookie picks for 2007. I placed 2 bids, one on R Curry (shows 6th rd compensation) and another RFA bid on Chris Henry (shows 5th rd compensation). Why does the Yr Pick column show a '1' in purple for each of my RFA bids? It should show a number 5 and and a number 6 respectivly. I have only a 1st rd pick in 2007 which I traded for with another team a week ago. I have no other 2007 draft picks (no 2,3,4 rd picks).
Under Draft Current Picks, it shows my 5th and 6th rd picks will be used as compensation if the other team does not match the RFA bid, which is correct. It also shows my 1st rd pick, again this is correct.
I beleive the '1' in purple on RFA Bid List page under Yr Pick is incorrect since i have my original 5th and 6th rd picks from 2007. It should show a 5 and 6 under Yr Pick Column. Sounds like a defect, especially since testing is in progress.
thanks

So you have these picks:
#1
#5
#6
After your two bids, this is how your bids are allocated:
#1
#5 chris henry
#6 ronald curry
In this case, the "Your Pick" column shows you WHAT PICK YOU WOULD GIVE UP if you BID AGAIN on one of those players you currently have a bid on. If you bid on Henry again, it will allocate your #1 for Henry. Then, if you bid on him for another time, it will allocate your #5 again since that pick freed up. Understand?
The RFA Bid list page, which has been in EFS since 2006 RFA, works as it's supposed to. The RFA player update page, which you haven't seen yet, will have it's player status based upon what you see in the RFA bid list page, but no more.

If i have time, the new rfa player update page will go in tonight around midnight eastern.
[EDIT: HAHA. i added the back end & not the front end, so you're still accessing the old cgi page for now... Next update. *sigh*]

Ok, Find Player hook into the new player update page for RFA players is going in in a minute.
One thing you'll notice is that, for players you can't bid on in RFA, either because you don't have the pick compensation or the RFA player is on YOUR roster, that these guys will show up in dark purple now and NOT red. The color red is reserved for waiver wire players. Also, franchise players that you have pick compensation for used to have a blue link color. Now they'll have the usual green. The blue isn't necessary since franchise player background is always highlighted. These are little things, but i thought i'd leave a note here anyway.
Another note: The new RFA player update page is linked from the "Basic" page of Find Player. The "detailed" page still has the old link. i've left the old link just in case problems are found with the new page.

To the player page in general, doesn't matter if RFA, UFA, whatever, i'm going to add something people have been clamoring for for a while -- detailed weekly points. For all 20-something scoring categories, you'll now be able to see how a player scores for the "current" season. In the offseason, the "current" season is the last completed.
