Not one, not two, but 3 owners in this league are currently bidding on Darrent Williams as a UFA. Its much like some owners who only follow and mimic the exact sequence of UFA's long after they have been originally bid upon by others. These lesser known players are not on their radar nor do they know what that players role is, what scheme he fits, what is role is going to be, if he is a starter, what is contract status is, his age, his career production, his injury history, or whether he is a pretender, a contender, underrated, overrated, or even how to use him if he did acquire the player.
The solution is to devise a Blind Bid strategy for UFA where only the NFL players name and date/time of bid is displayed but not the owner (s) who are bidding on him or the years, or dollar amounts or total of the contract is visible. Its an idea that is long over do and something EFS movers and shakers can look into for its feasibility and demand level. The members who are prepared would definately have the advantage where the ones who are not would be in the dark. Hopefully, this proposal will be viewed in the next few days by EFS and given some thought.
