Two wildcard games to note. Here are the highlights.
Rooting Rebels @ The Omen
The Omen comes in relatively healthy and looks good at all positions exception backup QB (now that kerry collins looks to be demoted) and FB/TE (if bubba is indeed shut down for the year). If Omen loses by 10-ish, he'll regret not having a backup FB/TE. The Rooting Rebels are on fire and cannot be stopped and are my pick in this game. Last year's superbowl loser, he comes in as strong has he's been for the past month+ (with only Marvel Smith a new notable on the outs).
Raven Maniacs 666 @ The Liberty Vultures
First time in the playoffs in 666 for both of these teams (as far as i can remember). Braylon's out and maybe Dyson, but otherwise, Liberty looks fine. Raven's roster has a lotta red as he must rely on Garrard or Frye at QB and a pick'em at WR. i pick the DIV2 team here as well.

I have been dealing with a lot of injuries all year, as I am sure others have had the same problems. We will have to see if my scrubs can rise to the occassion again. Not bad for a team that was predicted to finish near the bottom.

well, ppg-wise, i predicted you #14 & you ended up #11 -- a mere 7 ppg from the true #14, so i wasn't too off with the raven team. even in efs's 18 game format, the sample size is still small enough to where a top ppg can be shunned from the playoffs and viceversa. (i almost missed the playoffs in league 1000 despite being #1 ppg.)
regardless, you still have a strong team and have just as much chance as anyone.

Tell me about it. I was the #2 scorer in 747 and missed the playoffs.

I feel confident that I can beat Rooting Rebels. How can backup QB be a negative against me for this week? My only problem is at TE/FB where I may get a big fat 0. But I do get the extra 5 pts for HFA. Will be tough for me to root for my QB, as Trent Green is going up against my Cowboys.
The only thing I know for sure is that I will never get involved in any Kerry Collins for Chad Pennington trades again with Roy.

Maybe Pennington never plays agian. Collins will play again somewhere. He is a Solid QB if he has a good team around him.
Who knows how the whole thing plays out but I do appreciate the draft picks though. But would rather have the cash from the playoffs. :)

Playoff week 1 summaries:
Rooting Rebels @ The Omen
One of the football cliche~s, the importance of tackling, served the Omen the upset over last year's superbowl runner-up. Going into MNF, it was possible Omen's lack of a FB/TE would bite 'em, but rousing days from ken lucas, trotter (back from a weak week), trent green and vanderjagt gave him the nose over the Rebels. He can point to a Darrent Williams injury and lackluster play out of peppers, stroud and fitz.
Raven Maniacs 666 @ The Liberty Vultures
Liberty pulled out a squeeker over the Maniacs thanks to MNF performances by charles grant (barely anything, but enough), mcclure and zach hilton. Stallworth couldn't catch enough from a usually-erratic Aaron Brooks to hold onto his lead. Teams possibly rooting for the Maniacs to pull this out will still have to contend with the year's PPG champion.

or I could point to getting nothing from Lance Johnstone or my TE/FB, nothing from wayne in the second half, and lackluster performances from Tory James, Corny Griffin, Vrabel, Steven Jackson, and Burress plus Trotter missing almost all of the first quarter and me not using any of my chief OL and say that I should have won by a lot more.
We could all point to a lot of things when we lose.
Id say the game ended up pretty much the way it should have.
