View Full Version : Why the Moose are Timid
Armadillos

The Moose have made several steps in the right, if unfamiliar, direction this offseason. The franchise has been mired in injuries, underachievers, and arrests throughout its short and undistinguished history, but it was all starting to turn around. And then, somehow, despite the fact that one plays in Cincinatti and the other in Miami...somehow, two geograhic ally seperated knuckleheads (who I traded for this offseason) found each other and decided to pick a fight. Great work fellas! It's hard to get ramped up with the good energy for the draft and 207 season when it is clear that the football Gods do not want the Moose to prosper.

Timid Moose
Very funny!
I guess we all have some stories to tell on that front this year. Hopefully this will make you feel a little better...
Cerebrals - Put a FA bid on the Bucs OT. 1 day later, the Bucs trade for the Giants OT to become the starter. FABULOUS!
Next - Ahman Green is traded to the team with the best OL in the league - The Texans. At this point, I realized that I had the Texans' offense market cornered with Carr, Davis, and Green. Anyone jealous?
Then - Thomas Jones is sent to the NY Jets. Leon Washington was last seeing protesting this trade in the streets....
And for the final show - Jamal Lewis is traded to the other great offiensive line team in the league - the Browns. All on the heels of reports that the Browns will be selecting A. Peterson in the draft!
Next thing you know - Reggie Bush will be headed to Oakland.
BayDawgs - Trades for Chris Jackson (NE). 1 week later - The Patriots acknowledge that Jackson tore his ACL during the playoffs.
Any other stories to share?

In another league I am in there were to owners recently bidding against each other in UFA for DB Darrent Williams of the Broncos, think that was the shortest 2 year contract ever.
