Contract extensions after date?

I see contract extensions in League 8 in the transactions log. Shouldn't this have been shut down already? Take a look and see what you find.

Extensions are still allowed except for the 1 year guys who are locked earlier in the year. But if you want to extend your 2+ year guys you can.



There are a few restrictions to contract extensions



1) Players with 1-year contracts must be extended by June 30th or they will refuse extensions for the remainder of the year. This deadline is in place to allow owners to forecast and plan for the upcoming RFA season. If you have not reached a long-term deal with your player by the end of June he will go to RFA and will not be able to accept a contract extension.
2) If you extend a practice squad player’s contract, he will immediately be promoted to the active roster upon completion of the contract extension. EFS treats any extension of a practice squad player as a promotion to the active roster.
3) RFA eligible players (zero year contract players are not eligible to be extended. Any player whose contract has expired must go through the RFA process before being able to accept a new contract from the existing team.

Contract Penalties are set back to zero

Zero contract players can be waived until Feb. 1

Unrestricted Free Agency

Trading

Waivers


Contract Extensions

Assignment of franchise player designation

Because of the NFL playing games in January, we set a date for "closing the year", it is not always January, 1st, because of this we set a date for closing. As of today that date is January 10th, but if my trip to my mom's place gets pushed back a week it will be January 8th. I will post and send a bulk email by Thursday, the last day for scoring issues in week 17 allowed for this year.
