Still awaiting on official word from ISP but they appear to have resolved the issue.

Hey guys, for what it's worth, I think it's pretty shitty that I can't log in to check stats without renewing for 2010. I paid for 2009 and it's week 13...kind of a weak way to get people to renew.

Technically, it's EFS week 14, but it's not a weak attempt to make people renew. It's to prevent someone who has no intention of renewing from dismantling a team and royally F-ing it up to where no one will want to pick it up next season.

The ability to check the site without renewing was scheduled for this year but i just haven't had the time so it's scheduled for 2010 now. Sorry.

Not a huge deal, as I renewed anyways, but it was a bit of a pain. Doesn't the trade deadline prevent dismantling?

The standard way to screw up ESPN one off leagues is to get pissed off that you missed the playoffs and release all of your players. With no commitment for next year, disgruntled owners would not have to deal with the carnage.

Not being able to make changes is a necesity for EFS, and a good rule to protect the dedicated owners, as orphans severely impact our ability to enjoy the league, and really bad teams tend to stay orphans longer.

Not being able to look is an inconvenience, and a pretty large one.

Look but don't touch would be nice, but not being able to look is the lesser of two evils.

Compared with the possibility of someone taking apart their team after they missed the playoffs this is a minor inconvenience. There are other issues that are far more important like the bidding issue...

Has the bidding process changed from last year? I think it is probably being handled correctly the way it is otherwise the minor issue of being locked out might put people at a disadvantage as they will not be able to compete for the UFA's unless they pony up their fee for next year. If they changed the bidding process to allow post cutoff bids, without allowing non playoff teams to bid, bids the should only be allowed to be 1 year contracts.

UFA bidding ended with the end of week 13 and will not active again until the new league year begins (late January).
