Per an email I sent to all 3001 and 3002 owners on 1/19/06:
Hello all 3001/3002 EFS team owners,
For all of you new owners that haven’t heard from me before, I volunteered a few years ago to be the point person for facilitating these leagues. Primarily, I make sure we replace new owners as necessary and ensure everyone is aware of their responsibilities as it relates to these leagues. Greg Shepard assists me with this (and, actually, he does most of the work). He is also the commish of 3001 and I’m the commish of 3002.
In that regard, we want to be sure everyone understands the requirements for remaining in these leagues. In a nutshell, you have to be active. At a minimum, that means you need to participate in RFA, UFA, be prepared for the rookie draft (and make your picks in a timely manner), set your franchise flag, etc. It also means that during the season you must set lineups.
And, moving forward, if there is evidence that you’re intentionally tanking games for any reason it will result in expulsion from the league.
Behaviors that won’t get you booted include not responding to trade offers (IMO that’s not cool, but is your prerogative), making bad trades (especially if they are with me or Shep : - ), or making foolish rook picks. Also, if you let the system auto-select your late-round rookie picks that will not get you booted (although, that’s also not cool IMO).
Sorry if this message is too blunt, but I wanted to be as clear as possible. Good luck this year.
