okay, i know i've been here for years, but refresh my memory.

say i've got 24 PS players (example only), and RFA starts... i should still be able to bid on RFAs even if i'm over the PS limit for my roster because it is the offseason, correct?

i don't need to be down to 5 or 8, or whatever it is now, PS players to bid in RFA, right?

thanks. no, i couldn't find it in the 2,000 page rule book.

Here is an excerpt from page 99.

NOTE: When you match a bid on an RFA player, his salary, contract and roster spot count toward all the EFS caps. This is important as UFA Is also running concurrently with RFA. If you end up with an invalid roster, you will not be able to make any RFA bids until your roster is valid again.

I believe the roster limits are 53/8 year round. There was talk about expanding that slightly in December, but that did not come to fruition.

thanks, but that's odd. i've seen some guys with about 20 PS players prior to the season starting, only to have to cut a ton of them before the 1st game.

ah well, i've got a cut i can easily make. :?

You can be over the limits, you just lose some of the functionality. I.e UFA, RFA, setting line-ups.

oh, i know you can be over them, but it's odd that some teams can have SO MANY players over the limit at one time. that means they had to go on a signing spree all at once, or have a sh*tload of draft picks as well...

not a biggie, you answered my question, i need to go cut someone from this orphan i took over.
