New season rollover

Is the rollover to new season going to happen anytime soon? Figured it would have been done by now. Old rules(2004) say Jan. 4th. Hopefully the rollover will happen before new rules are out. The comment on the new rules has been saying "coming soon" forever.

see the note on your league home page...UFA and trading to start about mid Jan, with RFA to start about Feb 16 for those leagues that are paid up

I presume mid January means Jan. 15. Not sure how to define "about mid Jan". Just curious as to why mid Jan and not early Jan or now? We are mostly adults playing this game, information won't hurt us.

actually the note says 'starts soon'...historically that means that EFS has updated the database for the new season by mid Jan each year but i will leave it to Stan or Jason to specify a date....

Not sure when the new-year-rollover will occur. I expect to see a note from Stan or Jason in here any day now. Of course, the rollover could occur without a note too...

I love coming home and not knowing whether it will be the new season yet or not. My wife sucks at suprises so it is way better than christmas or my birthday. It is the little joys in life that keep me going.

The new season will be set approx Feb 1. We are scheduling some code updates to correspond with the new league year so we are coordinating that as well. An official announcement will be posted on the website/forums as soon as we are in 2010 on EFS.
