It appears some people have forgot how to bid on RFA.

Marion Barber III is a perfect example. The 2nd bid made would give the current owner rights toBarber at almost 1/4 his current salary. Then the3rdbid would give the current owner rights to Barber atalmost a 1/3 of his current salary. Gee I wonder if the current owner will retain him at $1M a year as opposed to $2.8M?

So unless someone bids more than $2.8M/year on Barber the current owner is getting him ata discount.

2nd bid on Chris McAlister is another example.

When you do this you are basically helping your opponent improve his team.

Watching the rfa and ufa bids is kinda like playing the stock market...never know what the next earnings announcement will bring. Well, this post might not totally be on the thread subject, but nonetheless its fun to have action in january..spending millions and not depleting our bank accounts at all! So my wife REALLY has to go out and buy that 50th pair of shoes that looks like the other 49....I'M UPPING MY BID ON THAT RB I REALLY WANT...THAT'LL TEACH HER!!!!

of course, it wouldn't matter if a certain owner would have been smart enough to protect Marion on his PS at a paltry .800 grand per year ..... :(

probably my biggest bonehead (non) move since I started. Tied with the Zach Thomas deal :) Oh well, I'm sure there will be more to come.

That explains his current salary. I knew he wasn't a first round pick last year.
