Hi, newbie owner here and am still digesting the rules.

Came across this note at the top of page 51 of the 2004 PDF rules:

NOTE: Placing a player on from your practice squad on EFS I.R. will promote the player to the active roster and he will lose his practice squad eligibility. Conversely, placing a player who is on the active roster but still has practice squad eligibility will change his PSE status from ‘Y’ to ‘N’ upon being placed on the EFS I.R. (emphasis mine)

My question to the group is: Is it possible to have a player on your active roster that still has practice squad eligibility? If yes, how is it accomplished?

Every reference that i have found in the rules so far has PSE being lost when a player moves up to the active roster.

Thanks in advance!

This isn't possible anymore. PSE is lost once on/promoted to the active roster. EFS might redefine the PSE rules in the next couple years though to mimic what the NFL does (by years of service in the NFL).

Thanks for the response!

First time i scanned the rules and saw that, it stuck in my mind that keeping PSE on an active roster player was important--especially after seeing how many ways you could lose it. After I read the rules more thoroughly a second time, I thought i had eliminated every possibility where that was an option but found that paragraph again and it threw my logic off.
