Site Enhancements for the 2011 Season will be communicated here once the 2011 enhancement candidates are finalized. Currently there are 3 enhancements being considered. Jason will provide more detail between now and when that list is finalized. The goal is to allow people more notice ahead of the next season on new rules that may-or-may-not be strategy-impacting. (Lesson learned from "performance-based salaries".)

There are two new rules for the 2011 season that made the "final" cut. They have been posted.

(There's one more rule that we're considering if time permits (by August) and it will be posted here in the event time allows for its development.)

Wow, so much for our great documentation. I will have to go back a review notes to determine what was being referenced. Given the NFL's head being up their own asses this off-season, we may punt and not introduce anything new until we know more from them. We will continue to post updates through this forum in the off-season.

The changes I read about related to how practice squad players will only be allowed to be on the PS if they have not started more than 8 games. But the ones we have now would be grandfathered into 2011. Also, a rule about PS bids not being allowed until Tuesday so that owners can assess their roster prior to another owner placing a PS bid on the player during Sunday (no brainer...this should already be the rule). I think there was a couple of more proposals in the hopper. Oh well...I am sure the EFS management team will let us all know in advance. Thanks!

Again, we gotta make sure that there will be an NFL season first so we will likely take a more slender approach to changes this off-season but will weigh all options and determine what is best to develop for the upcoming season. I can tell you that due to other issues, we have not been able to get the PS eligibility information based on EFS games played up on the site but will work toward that for 2011 even if it is only for informational purposes.

Along with the PS bid process not opening up until later in the week, with a "freeze" period during the game weekend, that is a valid option we will look at adding. Another issue I brought up in that regard in not opening up PS bidding until week 2 of the NFL season to allow owners the ability to get things finalized while fighting through the Thursday-Sunday game week of week 1.
