Buffalo's options?

It seems the new powers at BUF don't care for Losman & they have a bunch of b-movie actors behind him. Moulds could be out & Reed is a #3 guy at best. They could use help at OT & OG (but no OG is good enough here). TE's a mess, but they did draft Everett last year. DE could use an upgrade. OB & safety could use upgrades too.

i'm providing a ton of options. Hopefully we can pick a majority winner.

Buffalo is in disarray and they are going back to the glory days of Marv Levy. Between him and Ralph Wilson, this has to be the oldest front office duo in the history of sports.

Buffalo does need a lot of help in a lot of different areas and while it seems tempting to take Jay Cutler here, the signing of Craig Nall tells me that they will just roll with what they have and hope that Losman continues to develop. OL seems to be their other biggest need but this is too high for OL #2 to be taken.

The recent release of Lawyer Milloy has me leaning toward Michael Huff S Texas. He is versatile enough to play either safety spot and with Nate Clements being franchised, he may not be a long term solution in Buffalo which could make Huff's versatility even more valuable next year if they have to move him to corner. At the very least, he can compete with Coy Wire for the starting SS spot and could move to FS when Troy Vincent decides to hang it up. Either way, he bolsters a weak secondary who needs someone who can cover sideline to sideline.

i think here they have so many needs they go with the top value pick vernon davis. my secondary choice would be huff. both positions have some depth in this draft. if they're confident everett can come back healthy, then i'd go huff.

and if this poll approaches 24 hours in a tie involving huff, i'll switch my vote again. ;)

Looking at Buffalo's depth chart (or "lack of depth" chart) I'll agree with the need for a offensive tackle and safety. When you've been trying to convert a TE (Jason Peters) to OT for, what, 3 years now, you know you're in trouble. And with Milloy's departure, safety would be a safe pick too.

I believe DT Nagolutti Hgagilotti (or whatever) will still be here in "real life".

As mentioned below, it is too early to take OT #2 Justice, so Huff it is for me.

another tight race that could wind up in a tie.

[EDIT: it is now a tie]

Buffalo takes Vernon Davis, TE, Maryland with the #8 pick.
