i'm pretty sure they're not drafting a WR or RB here. Otherwise, they could use players almost everywhere else. Do they draft Cutler here to backup fragile Kurt or find a true positional need to FINALLY be a contender. i'd think this is a make-or-break year for dennis green AND they need to substantiate their new digs.

i think dennis green will -want- to go with a need pick here but will end up taking the best value between DT & QB. Kurt's fragile.

In Green's history in Minnesota he never had a young QB until he drafted Daunte Culpepper and that is only because he slid in the draft. (See Randall Cunningham, Jeff George, Brad Johnson, et al.) He has made his living with the rent-a-qb approach and he already has a tenant in Kurt Warner. The OL and the defense still need a lot of work but OL is still a bit too high here at #10.

Chad Greenway would be a nice fit as the WLB and would help anchor the unit along with Karlos Dansby. If Gerald Hayes is healthy then what was considered a weakness could be the most improved unit on the team.

It's time for James Darling and Orlando Huff to be replaced. The Cardinals take Chad Greenway OLB Iowa and help solidify their defense.

I think they will also highly consider Jay Cutler and Tye Hill or Jimmy Williams but Greenway gives them the best shot at instant impact on either side of the ball.

I guess I had initially pegged RB here prior to the Edge arriving... He's not the youngest cat anymore, and drafting an RB 'could' still be an option. Is LenDale White #10 material? Dunno. This is a big year for the Cards, and I would like to see them take a player who can help them NOW. That would mean NO to Cutler. I could see Williams at CB or Greenway at OLB helping them this year. Their OL also seems to disappoint each year, so #1 OG or #2 OT may be an option.

But Warner just ain't gonna last the season... So maybe they draft Cutler with hopes of 2007 being their shot at an NFC West title.

This is a tough pick. I'll take Greenway for now, for arguement sake, with the option to switch to Cutler later ;-) Pair Greenway & Dansby together, along with those DEs, a solid SS & LCB, and I think their defense isn't too shabby.
