Suprising annoucement came today from the Cerebrals front office:
"We have thoroughly reviewed the results of Week 1 of the NFL season and the Hall of Fame league and have decided to make a proposal for the rest of the league to strongly consider.
We firmly believe the results of Week 1 are a true representation of the likely outcomes of the rest of the season. Therefore, we believe that it would be in the best interest of the rest of EFS to bring the regular season to a halt immediately and begin the playoffs. This proposed change would enable all teams to rest their key players and take them out of harms way - via injuries.
We are confident that we have the support of Eternal Ramnation, BroncoFan, Timid Moose, CSWS, and Aces Full. We are also confident that other teams - such as TD, will have issues with this proposal, but we believe TD will agree that his team would prefer take a breather from this hectic season as well as - "give the other guys a chance".
At the end of the presser, CEREBRALS spokesman took "off the record" questions.
Q: Do you really think that teams like TD will accept this proposal?
A: For the sake of our team, we are hoping so. What would you do if you were going to play a team like that next week - following a dramatic loss? We are the Cerebrals - we are thinking outside the box here - work with us.
Q: What did the Baydawgs coach tell you after the game at half-field?
A: Can't remember the exact words, but something along the lines of "McFADDEN - come to DADDY!!!".
Q: Can you comment on BroncoFan's performance this week?

Q: How do you feel now about trading Randy Moss to ER after his performance this week?

A: Reggie had a rough week, I think we need to take this into account when we consider a player's performance. Monday - Reggie was working on a commercial, Tuesday - Commercial, Wednesday - He watched his commercials, Thursday - he got lit up by the Colts defense between commercials. Next week, expect big changes from Reggie - He has decided to only do 1 commercial.
Q: Mario Williams had a big week. What got into him?
A: Let's just say that Baydawgs gave Mario plenty of incentive in the offseason to deliver payback. Heres to hoping that BD can find a comfortable cushion to sit on this week.
