Who will Minnesota take with the #17 pick?

They have a mess at RB. An old guy at QB. Rebuilding atWR. Spare parts at TE. A couple ?s at OL. Still wondering at LB.

I disagree about RB... I think they feel good about Chester and backup plans.
DL seems to be set, WR is going to be a position of mild need (probably a 3rd rder) since the logic goes they drafted a 1st rder last year and KoRo seems to be cleaned up (I mean, only the Lions draft WRs 3 years in a row!).
TE? I also disagree... Kleinsausage is a decent FB, OK receiver but good soldier / blocker and Wiggins has been OK too.
So? Well, if they have not given up on EJ Henderson and underachiever Napoleon Harris, they'll go LB here.
So time for me to plug in Ernie Sims again!

i voted lendale because i think the new regime wants to put their own guys in place and are only biding their time with m.bennett, ontario, mewelde & moe williams. chester taylor was one piece but i think they'll want another to compliment him, or spell him if he sucks.

they have a ton of decent pieces at LB and can always find LB help in round 2.

Lendale's stock is dropping fast... I am wondering if he's still first round material. Yeah, sure... of course he is. But when you look at the underachieving bunch of LBs the Vikes have collected + Childress needing to establish a stout DEF like the Eagles', I still think they'll go for "BAP" on DEF, or perceived top DEF playmaker.
The best safety here is also possible.

The Vikings have plenty of needs alright but I think LB is their weakest link of any group. While I would have liked to see DeMeco Ryans LB Alabama listed, I will go with the best LB prospect in the poll and select Ernie Sims LB Florida State.

They need LB's who can run and Sims could play WLB, with either Henderson or Nap playing the middle.

LB depth/starter has gotta be primary for these ya-hoos... Sure there'll be depth at LB for round 2, why not take two??!! A DT for the aging Pat Williams also an option, but am going with LB.
