ok, this is starting to become out of hand. no one's gonna want that team when he's done.

well in trade talks with him, he has been quite cautious. i think he just is way into promise then realistic stats. I believe its his first year, kinda going overboard it seems with the newness

yeah, the UFA bids are nuts too, but they can always be nuts.

there's a difference between that and giving up (possible) value for another team's players. if there's a significant negative difference in trading from a team, that team will eventually have nothing to offer player-wise, and in our league's example, the team in question isn't really adding a lot of high picks in return.

But again, this is my opinion. There's a case for team dismantling, but i'm not going to pursue it. If others pursue it, i'll add my opinion. I'd rather not stir animosity within the league. At the same time, i'd rather not this cause multiple orphans next year -- already have endured that two seasons in a row -- and cause a dissolution of the league. i have too much fun alternating losing superbowls with b&b.

Guys... I voiced my concerns about the trades to Rockey, SID, Tom and Keith. The rest is beyond my reach.

But on bids, I totally differ with you all... I did not say so while savagely overbidding everyone else, but this is the league I have seen (I have been steady in 3, fostered in 2 including this one) with the most cash available per team... by far. By far.
We're talking an average collective $25 mil. available per team...
Whereas most other leagues I am in, 35 to 60% of owners are hovering between 10 and $0... or negative... and these guys WIN!!
I am thinking about Bobby "Swamp Dwellers" Miller, who treats CAP as CRAP and runs alone in league 1002 and 1004. So really, huge bids are OK...
Keith "STL" won in 1003 and was negative most of the year, too...
Even Tom Lorenz is running low in 3030 and was a champ in 2004...

So that's 3 bankrupt rosters collecting 3 rings out of 6 possible (counting 2 years).

Honestly, there is no value whatsoever in keeping the $$$, especially if everyone else is rich.
Anyway... I have probably said too much here and yielded an important part of strategic thinking, but cash is not rich at EFS.

Or, alternatively, $100 mil. is way too much cash to adversely affect an otherwise well-ran team... some owners can ruin a roster, but savvy big spenders are 100% OK and do very well.

Cheers!
