Who will Dallas take with pick #18?

OL depth, maybe. LB depth/help, maybe. FS? -- maybe.

Even though some positions might not be taken, i've included the "full" list.

I am disappointed again that the player I would vote for is not on the board. Marcus McNeil OT/OG Auburn. However, the Cowboys went after Defense last year heavily to switch to the 3-4 and it paid off huge. While they will be tempted to take Lawson or Bunkley I think ultimately they 'Boys need to shore up their weakest position early and often in this draft. I think they will look safety in rd 2 but need a starting interior lineman right away.

My choice is Davin Joseph OG Oklahoma

i have mcneil behind both davin & winston... i have him listed as OT but can put him up as split once one of those guys are taken.

I understand your rationale, however OT's typically get picked before OG's and OC's in round 1. McNeil appears versatile enough to play inside initially. I am not sure Winston has that versatility. That is why I was looking at McNeil to be listed. I think his ability to play multiple OL positions places him above Davin Joseph. The Cowboys need an interior lineman with some bulk to take Larry Allen's place, especially if Andre Gurode takes Al Johnson's place at OC. Kyle Kosier may have to play RT and Fabini move to LT if Flozell Adams isn't ready to go week 1. Joseph is still a solid pick, I just thought #18 was a bit high to take the first interior lineman.

I guess I would have pegged Marcus McNeil here as well with the need for OL help. With SD & KC to follow,wishin' & hopin' the 'Boys pass on WR Holmes, they get lucky when Dallas selects a safety to pair w/ Roy. Big D is building asolid D in 2006.
