Warlord's Take
Time to get the season rolling. This is just my opinion, feel free to comment and/or talk a little trash. Good luck to everyone.
777- Preseason Power Poll
#1 Team Sedentary- Has to be the team to beat, 2 titles in 2 yrs. say no more!1st year of rebuilding mode, could struggle early. Mason to the Ravens could hurt. Don't think a repeat is in order. Still the team to beat untill someone does!
#2 Z-Factor- Two championchip losses to Sedentary has got to hurt.777's version of the Philly birds, still a very dangerous team. Loaded onoffense and added Gatesin the offseason. Who let that happen? Weak LB corp, teams only weakness.
#3 Lestat de Lioncourt- Has turned cellar 2003 cellar dwellar around very quickly. Loaded on offense and defense, could push for title. Gave up 2 #1's for an C. Martin. Very steep price to pay, we shall see if the gamble was worth it. Can this team stay healthy???
#4 Legend- Down year in '04 so expect a turn around. A healthy Priest and productive L.Jordan and E.Manning will pust Lestat for Red division crown. The QB situation appears to be resolved. LB corps could hold team back-time for Arrington to step up!
#5 Warlord Assassins- Solid yet unspectacular team. No one player really jumps out at you, yet they still seem to be get the job done. Team officials have recently con- firmed the hiring of a new GM (The old GM was let go due to poor salary cap management) Questions at WR and DB could hold team back in a much improved Black division.
#6 Raven Manics- Well built team that has underachieved in the past. Excellent rookie draft filled some holes with potential stars and solidified depth. If T. Bell recieves the bulk of the carries in Denver, look out!
#7 Team Up North- Followed up '03 playoff run with disappointing 9-9 record in'04. Very explosive on offense with L.T. stealing theheadlines. Inconsistant LB and QB playhas held the team back in the past. I could hear the moan all the way up here in Seattle when M. Muhammad signed with da' bears. Can the DL continue to pick up the slack?
#8 Liberty- Has never really seemed to get it all together. Has good talent on both sides of the ball. Really need a 2nd feature back. If M. Bennett could be that guy and stay on the field, you could see a new Liberty this season. The Ravens switch to the 4-3 and T. Suggs going back to DE (where he played in college) has significantly improved the D.
#9 QueDog- If I had to pick one team that could shock everyone this year and pulled off a true cinderella story, it would be this team. I believe S. Davis is fully recovered and could really spark this team. Some older veterans on this team have at least one more good year. If they only had a pass rush.
#10 Tennesee Walkers- Lots of concerns with this team. The talent level is there though. Will R. Williamsregain his old form? Put down the pipe (for a while-a least). How many carries will disgruntled back T. Henry get in Tennessee? Team still has the best one- two punch ondefense in Lewis and Peppers.
#11 Austin Thrashers-Will be extremely explosive on offense with P. Manning, W. Mcgaheeand L. Johnson. The defense needs to produce to compete. DL need to produce. Offense will still have to carry this team.
#12 Diablo's Primo- Team much like Austin with good offense and suspect defense. Young WR's and rookie TE H. Miller could make this team competitive. This team is young so could supprise. Young LB corps could turn into strength.
#13 Hegemon- Team could make a move in second year of new ownership. Team was a disaster as old owner let the team go. Team will go as far as solid D will take them. Can they win without a running game. WR corps one of the best!
#14 Donald's Ducks- Team has great future a RB. Jones and Jackson will be solid for years to come. Needs consistency at WR and DE. Team might decide to go with Bledsoe at QB since Favre has seen better days.
#15 Locked and Loaded- Team needs much help in many places. A great season from Vick could help team win a few games. The draft will be the place where this team makes it mark. They picked up quite a few nice players including C. Williams and D. Johnson, possibly the two best players in this years draft. M. Joneslooks tobe a few years away but will be a stud someday.
#16 Wayne Fontes is God- The team needs a complete overhaul. Injuries and reliance upon inconsistent Lions players seems to be the teams downfall. Will we ever seethe anticipatedHarrington to Rogers connection. Wayne Fontes sure hopes so!
Predictions:
Red- Lestat, Green- Raven, Blue- Sedentary, Black- Warlord
WC- ZFactor, Legend
WAKE UP 777! GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!!!!!!
