the bye weeks are upon us as are the divisional games. here are the featured games of the week:

marauders 5 @ sic sic sic um dogs

unlike the dire nature of starting 0-2 in the nfl, it's much easier to make the playoffs after losing the first 2 here. however, it's not the preferable start, and going 0-3 now would not bode well even in a division that hasn't had a hot start. marauders is heavily favored. can sic um finally breach 350 points for a win?

zfactor @ legend

this will probably be a strong divisional rivalry for years. legend tries to brush off a week 2 loss to continue the quest of going worst-to-first. to do so, he'll need to beat zfactor, the #4 scoring team in the league, who won a 4-point squeeker against the thunderwolves last week.

liberty vultures @ rooting rebels

two 400+ point teams square off, tusseling for an early perch for the season. rooting rebels is currently the team to beat, 50 points stronger in week 2. liberty wasted a lot of points against sic um. they'll both need a ton of points to win this game.

Late-breaking news:

It seems home-field advantage wasn't flipped from last year. (See general forums.) Both played weeks will be rescored.

This week 1 game is affected:

marauders5 @ army

These three week 2 games are affected:

army @ lost and found

elysian @ wsdm

thunderwolves @ zfactor

Their new records will be:

marauders5 = 1-1 [cursed, huh?]
army = 1-1 [stays the same]
lost and found = 0-2 [in a weak division]
elysian = 2-0
wsdm = 1-1
thunderwolves = 1-1
zfactor = 1-1 [brings division 4 closer]

Benefactors of the corrected mixup:

elysian, beast, legend

Looks like there's nothing to fix.

why is there nothing to correct ??

it is very clear that the HFA has NOT CHANGED from 2004 to 2005 - basically - you are giving or getting5 POINTS for NOTHING in a 10 POINT SWING - I never understood an HFA in Fantasy Sports - there is NO HOMEFIELD ADVANTAGE

But if we are gonna use it - at least - do it right and changing it from year to year

According to Stan HFA is right. For more on this, check posts found in the more appropriate thread. i'm sorry to have stirred you for what really is no problem in the first place -- HFA has been correct all along this year.

Rockey,

Actually I was following the threadsof JPN (Nasty) who first indicated there was a problem with the HFA thru-out EFS. I only got "excited" when it actually started to look like "something was going toget done".

I actually noticed I was giving the SAME TEAMS an HFA this year that I gave last year, but I thought it was correct. I did NOT know these HFA's were to be alternated each year.

The HFA'swere NOT changed from 2004 to 2005.

Here are the week 3 matchup results:

marauders 5 @ sic sic sic um dogs
Sic um scored 379 pts! Decent. (Usually need 400ppg+ for a shot at the playoffs.) But no match for marauders5, now off the schnide at 1-2, playing much better than the division's current #1 by *83* ppg.

zfactor @ legend
zfactor was #2 in fantasy points this week, easily dismissing the legend by over 100pts, claiming the #1 seed after week 3, 1 of only 2 undefeated teams in the devil's backpocket.

liberty vultures @ rooting rebels
Liberty knocks off rooting rebels in a somewhat low scorer, 386-354. Carson Palmer continues to lead the way for Liberty as the Rebels lose Takeo.
