This is for Tom Lorenz or anyone that knows..
I thought the idea of a 24-hour clock, was that if the team did not make a selection within the allotted time, then a player would automatically get appointed to the team.
We just had a team go over the time limit, and the clock just reset...
Can we get a ruling on this???

Ok, I looked it up and on page 41 of the EFS Rules, it states that if an owner goes over the 24 hour time limit, then EFS will appoint a player to that team.
Mr. Lorenz, can you, or a member of EFS then appoint a player to this team, so we can keep this thing going??? After all it is in your by-laws...
Thanks.
I hope something can be done. This is the second time the 24-hour clock rule has been violated in the League 6 draft-- and we're still in the fourth round. It's possible this pick could be delayed until May 30th.
In any case, I would warn any new leagues preparing to start a vet draft that this could happen to them, too, and they may want to delay until EFS can solve the problem.
In the meantime, perhaps we can assign him Maurice Clarett and move on.

According to Sid. The 24-hour rule for Veteran drafts has been off for over a year. The reason being that there isn't a good way to pick a guy for that team. In the rookie draft it picks the highest player picked in the NFL draft. Sid is open to suggestions on how to autopick, but until they update the feature, the clock just wraps around. I've tried to get a ruling on from Sid on what we should do. All he has suggested so far is to call or email the owner. But email is pointless, because they already get an email. And calling hasn't worked because both persons who went over 24 hours didn't have a phone number listed. He hasn't responded since.

I've been on mock draft sights that do the autopick...and it works fine.
All EFS needs is to rank all of the players from 1 to ? and then it picks them according to whichever player is next... so the owner that misses a pick would still get a quality player according to the "experts" the only penalty for the owner would be it wouldn't be their own selection, and maybe not a position they would be looking at... for some owners it could actually be a positive.
If EFS can't do the auto pick feature then how about this... if an owner doesn't make his pick in time, then it automatically gives his pick to the next person, just like in the real NFL draft....
Then after his pick gets skipped it gives the original owner another chance again, and if he fails again, he gets skipped... that would be some incentive, giving up your draft position...
There definitely needs to be some sort of penalty for not getting a pick on time, Sid if you're listening why not do it likea real draft and have the computer go to the next owner...?!?
