How many teams will make the playoffs? If there are 12, like the NFL, then we would have to end the regular season week 13 or have the EFS bowl week 17. ANother option is just having 8 teams make the playoffs and no bye.

I think that having the championship in week 17 is definitely not as bad in this league as in other fantasy leagues. This league is going to be about depth on your roster and worrying about some starters on good teams being rested for the playoffs will not be as big of a deal as it is in standard leagues. It will just add that much more strategy to your roster building. I would vote for having 12 teams in the playoffs and keeping this thing just like the NFL.

i assume:

01) 6 teams per conference make the playoffs
02) we add a playoff game for a true Superbowl, giving us 4 playoff weeks
03) each conference has a schedule just like a current 16 team league. for the first year, there are no out-of-conference games.
04) to make up for the extra playoff week, the 16 team schedule would be amended to combine weeks 1 & 2 into one double-week.

Was it just me, or did we see an exhuberant amount of A-list players being inactive this past weekend (NFL week 17) as compared to previous years. I would not like to see this league hold its SuperBowl in week 17; we should take the measures necessary to ensure the SB matchup is week 16.

I would like to see the SB played during week 16 but I also want 6 teams from each conference in the playoffs so we mimic the NFL. Let's end the regular season week 12, create an additional double-header week to make-up for the lost game. Would this work?

Week 13 = Wildcards

Week 14 = Divisional

Week 15 = Conference Champ.

Week 16 = SuperBowl
