You know, I asked about this specifically a few weeks back and was told the NFL Injury Report (http://www.nfl.com/injuries) was the OFFICIAL EFS inury determination. See this thread...http://www.efsnews.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4197

On more than one occassion, what shows up on the EFS (our rosters) injury report and what shows up on the official NFL injury report doesn't jive. What gives? Is this link or is this NOT the official EFS injury report?

I can list specific examples if you want, it will just take me a while to investigate it based on my OWN roster!

Just to be clear about a few things, I might have to face the Oilers in a future playoff game (which I do not relish that idea) in League 25, but I do want it to be a fair match up based on accurate info.

If either of us have to make lineup determinations based on some outside source, I feel that source should at least accurately reflect what is portrayed in "real life" in the NFL. The difference between a "D" and a "P" could mean a win or a loss!

The league only posts the Friday injury report at www.nfl.com/injuries this season. The Wednesday report never shows there. This is new for 2007 along with those wonderful new "practice" designations.

All of the major online sports sites (ESPN, CBS Sportsline, Yahoo, etc.) have NFL news wires. That is where you'll find the Wednesday injury reports.

Remember too, teams don't use the Doubtful, Questionable and Probable designators on Wednesday. They may use OUT, but not all do. The official designations for the WEdnesday report include "Full participation", "partial participation" and "did not participate" along with Out.

We (QSS) compile the Wednesday injury report data and send it to EFS. EFS in turn does its thing with the data. EFS will have to confirm this, as we don't want to speak for them, but I think they just translate Wednesday lingo to Friday lingo as follows.

Out = Out
Did not participate = Doubtful
Partially participated = Questionable
Full participation = Probable

I dont understand the confusion myself. It was a little bit at the start of the season, but this is how its been the entire year. If you look again at QSSGuys post, he explains that on NFL.com, they are only posting 1 Injury report this year on FRIDAYS. This is different than previous years, where they issued two during the year. He also goes on to explain how to find the other report and why its reported the way it is on Wednesdays now in EFS.
