With the 1st pick in the 2008 draft (that no one wanted)
Legend selects RB Darren McFadden.

Let's not be confused, when Metal Rules didn't finish with the worst record I was not happy. I wanted D. Mac to be on Wrecking Crew, but I knew I would have to let you rape me to get him. So yes Roy you have the first pick and it is bitter sweet, on one havd I don't like how you got the pick, but on the other hand I think teams in this league are finally wising up and not letting you get the best of them. Congrats to the league as a whole, we don't have anyone letting Roy bend them over.

Yeap. So instead of getting deals that help both guys just don't trade at all.

Wonder if all the guys who would not give a 3rd for Randy Moss are now wishing they hadn't decided to not trade with me.

Or the one who could have had Moss, the 08 2.4, 4.14 and a 09 2nd and 4th all for what should be a fairly high 09 1st.

Or the ones who could have had McFadden fairly cheap?

Or even the one who Passed up Ray Lewis, Anthony Spencer and the 2.9 for a Young LB who scored less than Lewis. Yeap Lewis has a big contract but so did the other LB. So costs a little extra cap space (which that team could afford) to get a LB upgrade, another young backer and a good draft pick. All it would have done for me was give me a little cap room.

Yea most have agreed not to trade with me, which is fine. But you also miss out on some deals that could also have helped your team all to make sure you don't help me.

well, you should have lost your team because you did not renew. we all know the deadline and you missed it - end of story. agreement or not, just because you are friends with certain people you get preferential treatment, if that was me, i would have lost my team because, again, we all know the deadline. you had more than enough time to renew.

the reason people do not want to deal with you is because you are unreasonable. i do not care what has been offered recently, you have tried to drain peoples teams, like the ballhounds, and the bledsoe trade before i came into the league, which if i am not mistaken was voted down, but because you cried the veto got overturned. you have obtained a solid team by praying on people who were leaving the league and/or didn't care. for those of us who have taken over orphan teams and actually give a shit, we are fighting tooth and nail to maintain a half decent squad and you come in with top draft picks (e.g. getting calvin johnson and now mcfadden). why would i want to deal with you, i would have to give up everything for 1 player. all we can hope for is your team ages or you get plagued with injuries (like what happened to me this year with 8 guys on i.r. at once). a good amount of us are trying to level the playing field and make it interesting, no thanks to you.

at any rate, there are a few people who will still unfortunately deal with you. enjoy it while you can because like wrecking crew said, people are wising up to you.

No preferential treatment or friends pulling strings. Just asked If I could wait till all teams were paid for before I had to pay. In the middle of buying a house and they don't like you changing your bank accounts by $1000.00. Others in EFS have had to do the same thing through the years.

Don't complain about me adding McFadden. That pick has been available all year at a decent price but no one wanted it. Not a single offer for it. Plus offered to move it last year during the draft to get a pick then.

As for making it interesting. I was the one who offered to give up draft picks and players to help get someone to fill one of the bad orphans last year. Wasn't looking for anything in return. Most didn't want to help or give anything.

I am one of the original members of League 10 and I think all of this trash talk about Roy is ridiculous. I have not made a deal with Roy since 2002 but that has nothing to do with his trade tactics. Roy is an active member of every league he is a member of and has been a pleasure to compete against over the years. If you have hard feelings in regards to deals he has made you should point the finger at the guy who allowed himself to get hosed. Do yourself a favor and review all of Roys deals. He has had many a deal go against him.

The team that should have had the 1st pick was Hot Lunch. The owners of that team have made 16 trades since 2002 and four of them have been with Legend, about 25%. That leaves 12 trades and of those, 9 were with the Wrecking Crew. So you tell me who is trying take advantage of the struggling franchises in this league.

Wrecking Crew is a very active franchise, taking the time to strike up trade activity in league 10. You have to like a guy keeping it stirred up. The problem is that most his stirring seams to be at the bottom of the pot. He has been the poster of 9 trades since the beginning of 2006 and the current record of those teams is 61-96-3, with (2) with Cigogna, (3) with Metal Rules, (1) with Steel To Face and (1) with Hot Lunch. Not exactly the front runners in this league.

This was a truly enlightening investigation.

Sorry it seems most of you feel that way.

Yes I've tried to get the best deals for my team as I can.
Who doesn't? If your not then your not really trying to win.

I also feel I try to help the league.
I tried to get teams to assist the orphan last year, but it didn't happen.

I make sure I send out announcements whenever RFA, UFA, or any other
deadline is coming up so teams don't miss out or get nailed.
Including reminding teams to set your Franchise tags, turn off your vacation
picks, protect your PS players before it starts. I'm not the commish but I try
to help. But don't worry I won't bother anymore.

So because I've tried to get the best deals I can for my team, as have others , I'm blackballed. That's fine.

Hell if you want put up a list and I'll even be sure to remove your name from my emails so I don't waste your time. As one owner here has buy talking trade and saying he sees a possible deal when he has no intention of dealing.

roy, i have tried to deal with you a few times and i always got the perception you were trying to pull a fast one and your deals seem one sided to me. i look at it this way, to get me to trade, make it attractive for both, not insulting. that's why you see these comments. maybe i am blowing it out of proportion, but at least i am being honest. i am not saying i would blackball you, but i am skeptical.

"SOME"

Damn. The only players he has is Addai and Plax (who's going to cost him almost 8 million) and I guess you could include Rivers. To make matters worse, he doesn't even have the #1 pick to help. The only way to help that team out would be to trade Addai and Rivers for as much as you can get. I guess you could resign Plax for 1 more season and hope he draws a good comp pick next season, unless he's drawing one this season (I don't know, I don't have him on any of my teams). He's got 5 kickers? wtf Oh, but he's 70 million under the cap. lol

Yes, back in sept of 2006.
No one knew Hot lunch that the team would be run so bad in the 2 years since the trade was made. Also at that time Rivers was looking pretty good and Edwards was a top LB.

Now it looks like a very good trade for me even if I did have to wait 2 years for the pick. But at the time it was an even trade. Some even thought I didn't get enough at the time from what I heard.

j andrejko

not saying i want to trade, but what do you think your 1.1 is worth? just curious.

Don't really plan on moving it now.
Was willing to move it before to help me win a SB this year. But now I think McFadden helps me the most for future title runs.
I'm hoping that he can be next years AP.

And to give you an Idea of what I think AP was worth here is what I was offering.

I offered the 1.1, 2.4, 2.9, Fitz, Stanton and Anthony Spencer for AP and Rudd. Along with a combo of these players:
Culpepper
Ray Lewis
Keith Ellison
Arnaz Battle
Troy Williamson
Leonard Weaver
Kenton Keith
Lamont Jordan Back in OCT when he was still playing well
an possibly A OL or 2

Probably would have given more but that was the 1st offer. And word is that McFadden can be just as good as AP without the injury concerns.

j andrejko

so, 11 or so players or picks for 1.1 and someone else?

Here is a copy of the email sent.

Would something like this interest you?

1.7 (which is looking alot like the 1.1 [possibly McFadden which doesn't help me this year but ok for a rebuild)
2.6
2.10
Larry Fitzgerald
Anthony Spencer
Drew Stanton
for
AP and B Rudd

Can also work in some combo of
Culpepper
Ray Lewis
Keith Ellison
Arnaz Battle
Troy Williamson
Leonard Weaver
Kenton Keith
Lamont Jordan
an possibly A OL or 2.

The 1.7, 2.6 and 2.10 turned out to be the 1.1, 2.4 and 2.9.
I never even got a reply to see what players interested him.
So can't say what all I might have offered.
But yes, that is what I offered back on 10-16 and 10-24. Jordan was still doing ok.

Did I offer to much, not enough or just a fair?

No Opinions? Anyone? To much, not enough or just ok.
Doesn't matter if your in this league or not. Weigh in on this.
