I think there was an email that came out at some point in the past year that was limiting the number of players a team could have on it's active roster and practice squad. It was to keep people from building up a PS of 20 players during the off-season.

Am I remembering this correctly? What were the limits if so and is it going to be enforced?

Thanks, Swampy

I remembera fewposts regarding this subject as well. I want to say the two values are 55=active and 10=p-squad but I maybe mistaken here. I need to search through some old Zfactor post.

I've experimented a bit and once you get 53 active and 8 practice players, you get error messages when trying to bid on UFA. At least in League 25 any way. :)

That affects the bidding, but there was something that came out limiting players, because teams were abusing it by having 20+ people on their PS. We have someone in 2000 with 25 PS players. That's a lot of waterboys ;)

Hey Swampy-

Go to "New for 2005"

Then "Rule Change!" dated 12/1/05 and you'll find the proposal.

I seem to recall that there was so much negative feedback that the rule never became effective, however.
