7702 - Ahmad Brooks

Just checking to make sure that this is the LB that was just drafted in the supplemental to CIN. Right? If not right, what is the PID for the Brooks I'm looking for?

That is not the Brooks you are looking for. The CB Brooks is a player that used to play for the Saints I think and has been out of the league for a couple years.

Usually the supplemental picks aren't added until the final roster cut. Just like the undrafted guys. But Hollings was added before then before so maybe Brooks LB will be.

I just read this & had a holy Sh*t! moment. I thought (probably like other folks) that this was the guy the Bengals just drafted. Is there any recourse?

Yeah the problem with this is when we drafted him his position was LB then was latter changed to DB. The people who picked him up (including myself) obviously thought this was the Brooks available in the supplemental draft. This issue of supplemental players should be addressed the EFSports and possibly establish a rule on this....or at least allow people to drop him without penalty...

The Brooks that people have been bidding on has been listed at DB and he is a actual NFL player. How is that a EFS problem ? IF people don't check first and just try and get a fast bid in I don't see how EFS should help them out.

As to supplemental players it would be nice to have a hard rule that doesn't change.

I'm not sure I can completely understand how people could think bids could be placed onBrooks prior to him being selected to a team or even being in the NFL for that matter. As a supplemental player, he'll be added to the system at a later date. Undrafted FA's and supplemental players are usually added to the database once they make an NFL roster. This usual time frame is during the pre-season.

It's not my call but I don't feel this is an EFS problem either.

I don't have a problem either way. I was only stating that when I originally placed a bid on Brooks his position was incorectly listed as LB, then afterwards his position was changed to DB. Had he been properly listed as DB, many people wouldn't have placed a bid on him. I do remember Brooks and he has been out of the league a few years. His middle initial is Z, I believe. Maybe that should be added to clerify that. Also, EFSports doesn't have a problem. I really don't care, I can cut him. I do believe that supplimental players should be added at a specifictime each year though.

I don't know about him being listed at LB. I seen guys bidding onhim a few weeks ago and he was listed at CB then. But guys have switched before so not sure what's up.

Unless you placed a bid on him months ago, before I looked at the Brooks currently in the database, he has been listed as a DB. As for a rule, EFS has always added supplemental and FA's to the database after they actually make an NFL roster.
