So Terrell Suggs was a DE, then got switched to OB last season since he was listed by Gamebooks as a starting OB for the Ravens on nfl.com. Well, the Ravens have franchised him as an OB and he is petitioning the league saying that he should be franchised as a DE (he would make $800k more next year as a franchised DE) because he played well more than 50% of his snaps as a DE.

So, my question is this: If Suggs wins his appeal and is officially franchised as a DE and the Ravens continue to list him as a OB on nfl.com's Gamebooks, what will his official EFS position be next year?

I would appreciate a swift response on this as it has implications on my offseason plans.

Thank you,

Brian

I had a similar question regarding suggs' dispute.

Something else to consider, why not allow owners to play either a 3-4 or 4-3 defense and use players like suggs that rotate back and forth either as a LB or DE depending upon which type of defense that you are running. in other words, you can only use suggs as a DE if you play 4 DL and 3 LBs, and as a LB if you play 4 LBs and 3 DL? something to consider that takes the league slightly closer to actual formations.
