This season of EFS sure seems to be riddled with a lot of server issues. Either very slow or just simply down and out. I thought there was a hardware server "upgrade" this year?

I hope it gets better... soon. This is getting old fast. :X

is this directed at me? i'll assume so and say this: we made hardware upgrades and the system became faster and more stable. recently, we made a -software-upgrade which ibm has recognized has a bug in it. Stan worked near a-day-and-a-half STRAIGHT on this problem without sleep. Right now, we're running on ibm's recent fix to the problem. i'm sure everyone's pulling for some ibm competence on this bug fix, as Stan mostly is cuz he's sick of spending so much time on this -- a problem we didn't cause.

Hey, Rock... no, it wasn't directed at you or anyone else. I was just venting. Actually, I hadn't read the other posts in the general forums until after I posted on this subject. So, consider me 'uninformed'.

It just seemed that everytime I attempted to access EFS it was extremely slow or down... nothing in between. When you get this kind of performance the last 4 or 5 times in a row - it wears on you.

I guess with the money we pay to play, with no prize money in return... you expect (or at least I do) a certain level of performance in return. When that performance is not up to standards on a consistent basis, I begin to wonder if EFS is something that will continue to fit into my schedule.

I have a limited amount of time to access this site and do "the EFS thing". But, I completely understand the problems being out of your (and Sid's) control. The bottom line is performance. Sometimes, as a customer, you're not concerned with why something isn't working... you just expect it to work, ya know?

Thanks for the reply. I do appreciate the efforts involved in trying to resolve the latest problems with the EFS site.
