To anyone that can help... I'm a newbie owner who's just picked up an orphan team in League 14, I'm sure this is a simple question but for the life of me I haven't been able to find an answer either in the rules or on this message board...
I'm wondering what the specific rules are around roster limits during the offseason/in-season.
1) I know that in-season limits are 53 active/8 practice squad and that this is necessary for a valid line up to be set but what are the off season requirements? Are there any? And if not, at what date do I need to make sure my roster is 53/8 compliant?
2) Do players on original rookie contracts contribute to the total number of "Active Players"? I would have thought they do but am confused by the way in which the system (in my teams' "Detailed View") seems to categorize separately "Active" and "ORC" players. Does the sum of these two numbers have to be less than or equal to 53 for an active roster, or is it just the "Active" number?
