The 2006 Season is beginning to take shape. The divisional races are heating up and the trade talks have been extremely active. It is still early enough to put things together and make a run or dump what you have and start preparing for the future!
Week 6
#1 Warlord +3 (7-1)-Reluctantly claims top spot with victory over Hegemon. Young team is starting to gel. Key divisional game vs. Austin this week.
#2 Hegemon -1 (6-2)-Loses top spot, but turns around and picks up the best RB in the game in LT. Looks like the time to win is now!!!
#3 Diablo -1 (6-2)-Scoring has dipped a bit over last couple of weeks. There are some concerns, but good enough to hold down the 3rd spot this week.
#4 Austin +1 (5-3)-Team is still very explosive on offense, but will the defense hold up? Key divisional game vs. Warlord this week.
#5 ZFactor +2 (5-3)-Is it a win? is it a tie? Is it a win? Looks like team got a huge win vs. Hegemon WK5. Scoring back around 400ppg. Defending champ back track.
#6 Lestat -3 (5-3)-Would the real Lestat de Lioncourt please stand up? This team is hard to peg. Lots of talent, but extremely hot and cold. Damn Vampires!!!
#7 Liberty +2 (5-3)-Team coming together. Looks to be a contender in the red divison. Game this week vs. Necro will tell us alot about this team.
#8 Raven -2 (6-2)-Gets a sweep in WK6 scoring only 321. Whew!!! Scoring down, but wins are up. Someone better beat this team before Alexander gets healthy. There's no such thing as an ugly win!
#9 Necro +3 (5-3)-I like what the new G.M. has done. Team is proving to be a threat in the tough red division. Key game this week vs. Liberty.
#10 L&L - (5-3)-Team is getting wins without a running game, that's impressive! Holds three #1's in upcomming draft. The future looks bright and could be finally loaded. I think it's time to drop the (yeah right) and give your players some positive re-inforcement for a change, you're giving them a complex!
#11 QueDog -3 (3-5)-Scoring has been up and down so far this year. Has young talent, just a few pieces away from putting things together. OL and DL has been real inconsistent.
#12 Legend -1 (3-5)-The fall continues. There is still alot of talent on this roster. The team is in good hands with an experienced G.M. at the helm. This team won't be down for long.
#13 Machine +2 (1-7)-New G.M. has some parts in place. Scoring 5ppg less than Raven, but has 5 more losses. Just goes to show you, there's a fine line between a win and a loss in 777. Team has 2 #1's upcomming. New G.M. will need a little time after taking on 777's biggest challenge (orphan).
#14 Wayne - (1-7)-Team has struggled this year, but G.M. has been very active putting the pieces in place with young talent. Has acquired future draft picks and rookies are beginning to show some promise.
#15 Sedentary -2 (1-7)-Two-time champion has officially began the rebuilding process. Any G.M. that has the ability the win this competetive league two years in a row is surely capable of turning this franchise around. The question is only how long?
#16 UpNorth - (0-8)-Team has yet to get a win. Two-time black division champion has began their re-contruction by trading LT for young talent and future picks. It will only be a matter of time before theteam UpNorth begins their climb.
There are 10 teams have a 5-3 record or better. No-one is undefeated and anyone can be had on Any Given Sunday. 777 remains ultra-competetive with the bottom teams each holding multiple future picks. There are many key divisional games this week that will go a long way in distinguishing the contenders from the pretenders. UFA, Practice Squad Bidding and Trade Activity is all up. This proves this league has committed and competitive ownership.
Let's keep it that way!!!
Just remember this is just "Warlord's Take" and anyone that has any opinions or comments please share them!!!
Good luck...
