looks like only 1 spot is up for grabs, primarily between hamsters & ^b&b^. b&b plays the weaker opponent but hamsters owns the tiebreaker (assuming they tie at 11-7) beating b&b head-to-head.
the only other main question mark is seed #2, which'll come down to the barracudas/anti8iotics match. band on the run and green machine need to sort out the #3 seed.
current locks:
#1 = venoms [defending champ]
#2 = barracudas / a pig in a cage on anti8iotics
#3/#4 = band on the run / green machine
#5 = a pig in a cage on anti8iotics / barracudas
#6 = ^bills & bones^ / jungle hamsters [the 9-8 teams PPG keeps them from serious consideration except ironmen]
if b&b misses the playoffs, it'd be the first time ever for him as far as i can remember (back to 2000).

Not to kick a man while he is down, but Mike isn't there still a limit on how many practice squad players that you can carry on your roster in the off-season?
I thought the limit was 10. But, honestly, I don't see it in the rules. Is this an actual rule or not? Just thinking out loud.

Well im glad to make the playoffs, especially after a pretty bad start at 2-6 to finnish the year off going 9-1
Look out the Hamsters are hot!

i don't think it's a written rule. i think there's an unwritten rule conjured early last year, but i don't think it's in place programmatically.

and may i add "wow". as the season developed, i thought i'd have a tough battle just to squeek in as a wildcard. after losing to bones & hamsters in consecutive weeks i thought i might be cooked. But the Venoms/Ironmen weekend gave me new hope. And now a bye as i win the division in 2 of the last 3 years. (Last time i lost the superbowl.)

I'm shocked that I made it. I really didn't expect to. Starting the season with no QB (a.k.a. Kerry Collins) really put a damper on things early on. I think some weeks I would've been better off not playing a QB, b/c he would produce negative numbers.
I was able to swing a deal with Rock for one of his QB's (Leinart) and I actually had some players starting to get healthy again (Dansby andQuarles).
I'm psyched to be in the playoffs, but I also know that I'll be the underdog no matter who I play.

Well you play me, so yes you are the underdog, good luck though
well your right about one thing...aka kerry collins = = = no QB lol lol ... if you remember i told you you pulled off a fast one on rock when you go ML in the trade.... i was sleeping at the wheel when i didn't draft him...i bet rock is praying right now that ML doesn't bite him in the butt in a few weeks....i think you rock and jungle have the best shot at winning the sb......between you getting ML rock gettingLfletcher and jungle hamsters buzz saw twins LT and palmer you 3 have the best shot.... so who's not coming back next year...

i usually don't trade ORC's within their first 3 years on my team and shouldn't've done so but needed LB help at the time. i'm still kicking myself. i think the trade was even-up, but i still wish i would've tried something else to help my LB situation.

I think it was pretty even, too... giving up Shanle, who was averaging over 20 pts a game at the time, Lawson, a 2nd-round pick prospect, and another 2nd rounder for Leinart... who hadn't played in an NFL game and was fixing to play on a team with an extremely weak OL.
I'm very happy to have Leinart, but he by no means turned around this team by himself. He just didn't end up hurting the team like Collins did. lol
I'd almost have to give MVP awards to the entire team. The production of "Pacman" Jones and Ty Law has been unreal(both new to the team this year). Vonnie Holliday has been lights out this year - and was crucial when Shaun Rogers went down. The OL production has really surged.
I could go on... but the acquisition of Leinart was just the tip of the iceberg to this season, in my opinion.

my biggest in-season pickups were probably both insidelinebackers bruschi & london. my IB's started average and grew progressively worse as the season wore on. without the london fletcher trade i lose to the kats in the first matchup of ours following -- that was a 128 point shift.

Good game, JH. I was worried with LT and the Palmer + Housh combo you had in your lineup. The Chargers-Broncos game was on the tube and I felt good that they were pretty much holding LT in check. Then he goes off for 3 td's in what felt like a blink of an eye.
I feel pretty fortunate to escape with a victory.

That's the only downfall to scoring that many points in one week, b/c there's usually a letdown the next week. I hope to at least have a solid game this week and let the chips fall where they may.
Of course if you win, you'll have gone to the Superbowl in back-to-back seasons. This league sure has some interesting runs.
Marauders won 3 Superbowls in a row. Mike (B&B) won 3 Superbowls in a row. Warpigs shocked everyone and won last year, even though it sounded like you should've walked away with the trophy. Has the time of "the Rock" arrived? Time will tell.

i didn't go to the superbowl last year -- in 2005 venoms beat b&b. in 2004, warpigs beat me. i don't know if anyone in my division can make an extended run like that anymore. it's a strong division and the league has gone through expansion, diluting talent that teams could otherwise hoard for such a run. if anyone wins 2 superbowls in a row anymore, i'll be shocked.
of course, it could happen to venoms, which'd be an accomplishment for someone taking over an orphan heading into the teeth of an expansion draft.
come on guys dont let a women beat you...do you want to look like a wuss loosing to a girl like i did last year... lol lol you guys all have strong teams and its the luck of the draw on how your players play the next two weekends...good luck to all of you..by the way merry Christmas and happy Hanuka and whatever...

Well, the Rock comes out firing! Man, I watched that game lastnight and thought for sure that A. Smith was done. He wasn't doing anything. Even when they started getting sustained drives, like 60 yards, he would have 5 yards passing out of that drive.
Then, I watched a sure sack turn into a touchdown pass. And before the night was through, he had 2 touchdown passes and ran for another. This all took place at the end of the 3rd quarter and throughout the 4th quarter. I think he had less than 40 yards passing in the first half.
Ugh. I surrender. Game over. It does not look good for me. It doesn't look good for the Seahawks, either. They are looking pretty vulnerable right now. Playing at home against the 49'ers to clinch the division? And they couldn't get it done.

Yeah, I know... and I was along with everyone else rolling my eyes on the Frank Gore trade during the season. Look at how that's turned out now. Everybody wishes they had him on their team.

Wow! Tight game, Rock!! 10-point difference (418-428) and we both have players going tonight. You have a Bengals OL... and I have J. Joseph (CB), R. Jeanty (OLB), and Rudi Johnson. I'm hoping for a lot of sacks tonight! lol
Well, I'm at least happy that my team didn't totally tank this week. I really didn't expect Alex Smith to out-produce Matt Leinart this week. The 12 points I got from Leinart is what I expected you to get from Smith. ;) It's been a crazy week.

Is this the matchup you're talking about?
^mephistopheles rebellion 666^ @ ZFactor
This is what i'm up against (http://dynasty.efsports.com/efs/EFSFootballServlet?OP=weeklypointsresult&ILID=0006 66&IOID=16&WEEK=14&YEAR=2006). Plus i'll be without Darrell Jackson with scant receiver depth and possibly Kareem McKenzie. ZFactor is heavily favored. This will most likely be the biggest playoff blowout in league 666 history. ZFactor should finally make the superbowl after 3 straight top-2-seed seasons. (I've only made 1 EFS superbowl EVER.)
ZFactor beat mephisto in week 6, 465-402.
If so, what was the score? Just curious. Any players left in this matchup?

yeah. i'm actually up 504-341. He has saturday & rudi & i have utecht. so it'd take a thousand rushing yards from rudi for Z to win. i assume i lose in league 8 & 12 this week, so my superbowl in league 666 will only be my SECOND out of 22 seasons across leagues 8, 12, 1000 & 666. i almost always end up sucking in the efs postseason.

Good game, Rock. It was a pretty tight one (455-440). Things would've been different without those 4 sacks against the Bengals OL.
Man, I can't believe I made it. It's my first superbowl! What a roller coaster ride it's been this season. The team has definitely produced big at the right time.
Now the biggest challenge all season: Venoms. The #1 team in our league looking for a repeat performance of last year.

My hat's off to Venoms. Good game. My Cinderella season finally came to a close. I thought I had a decent shot, knowing that I had some good production coming out of some key players - but you hadkey players that showed up even bigger (50+ points each).
