Here are the week 1 matchup highlights according to my 2008 league 666 predictions (http://www.efsnews.com/forums/showpost.php?p=20446&postcount=22). By the way, 2 of the 3 match-ups were the same ones chosen for week 1 of 2007.

Soggy Bottom Boys @ The Rat Patrol

Predicted #6 Soggy takes on one of the new owners helming #11 Rat Patrol. Viewing the match-up (VS), these two teams are pretty evenly matched. I think this game will either be won by the ILBs or lost by Brett Favre facing New England.

A year ago i said "I think this is finally the year that Sic Um, ranked #10, pulls himself out of the cellar and contends for the playoffs". A year later and he's still ranked #10 with only Lost and Found to topple in his division. Weaknesses i see are Mark Clayton and JAC OL load-up for mephisto and Tarvaris and Albert for Sic Um.
The Omen @ ZDevil

Former champion The Omen (#2) takes on final-4 bridesmaid ZDevil (#4) in this heavyweight classic. Omen continues to ride Peyton Manning, sans bursa sac, and bets heavy on the DAL offense while Z's future in this game is tied close to his DTs and cleveland's Derek Anderson & Phil Dawson. The winner of this game has an inside track at a playoff spot.

There's a new world order in league 666. 5 of last year's 6 playoff teams lost. Two divisions sport last year's bottom 2 teams on top. Cats and dogs living together!

The highlighted game results reflect our new topsy-turvy world.

Soggy Bottom Boys @ The Rat Patrol

Colston and the bengals and Cooley were nearly shut down for Soggy as Rat Patrol enjoyed solid OL, LB & DB play.

^mephistopheles rebellion 666^ @ Sic Sic Sic um Dogs

Sic Um beat mephisto as both teams had a poor day for a 12 team standard league. mephisto's season ended with brady's knee although tarvaris tried to keep 'em in the game.

The Omen @ ZDevil

ZDevil (and Thunderwolves) didn't have a bad week really, but ran into better teams. Z's receivers and MJD let him down while Omen had a solid all-around day, even from a not-all-there Peyton.
